Hi Tom,

As a cautionary tale to those thinking that thirty bit displays are going to

significant bits. Our advanced development team in Grand Rapids has been
dealing with these issues and they are not trivial. When it comes to this
phase of technology, we are all on the bleeding edge.

I'm not afraid of bleeding edges ;-)

In terms of hardware, at least the new MacPros with ATI Radeon HD 4870 should be able to send 10 bits per channel to the Mini DisplayPort. I hope to get one soon. I also hope to find a MiniDisplayPort -> DisplayPort adapter somewhere, in a pinch I wouldn't even shrink away from solving this issue with a side cutter and a soldering iron -- but what about Apple's drivers? Is there anyone who can tell more about them?

Klaus
