Hello Andreas and Ken:
Thank you.
This morning comented to Joan Uroz what I was perceiving from methods
in multi-spectral capture:
- Multiple shots with the "biggest support for scaled Earth" (3-axis
goniometer) changing the source of light and sensor position respect
to the artifact to be reproduced, or fixed sensor and moved artifact.
Some dubts about the geometry of such artifact.
- Multiple shots changing the source of light (and think this was the
method showed in the news over an experience at Museo del Prado,
Madrid, Spain). Some dubts about specular component of light in oil
canvas.
- Multiple filtered shot to obtain more than three colour chanels.
Apparently cheaper option with in the DSLR actual market. Everybody
knows that shot nude under sunny day (Canary Islands are not North
Light Sky) and working in red channel allow to see the circulatory
sistem like in sci-fi fashion, not so noticeable in RGB.
I prefer, but have to test, the fussion of the last two options, with
polarized light source (and lens), and trouble is, for me, the
adecuate hammer to put more than three channels in RGB. Knowing that
ICC is working in photography with polarization, I think all this
issue is exprimental, but not so to make us insane crazy. Better,
healthy crazy.
I will re-read the experience of Dr. Roy Berns and at art-si.org and
Mark Fairchild at RIT, Francisco Imai and others.
Sure that I forgot someone and something, sorry.
Salud
Jose Bueno
