I believe my poor results are because of the software I am using. Leaf
software used for tether capture does not allow me to capture real RAW file
as I see it. I am forced to use color changing settings which in the
software is called development curve. Now these preset dev curves are made
for Leaf backs to be used as generic curves. I am using polarizing strobes
and filter on camera and I think this is the issue. There is no option to
remove the artwork and take a picture without glass on top of it. Another
issue could be that ColorChecker SG chart is used have different pigments
but there is no way I know what I will be photographing next. It would be
glass, canvas or wood or whatever else. I cannot make color chart with
painted wood.
Does anyone have experience with Leaf backs?
Derek
