I do not see this.
I had the time so here is what I did:
Using Hutcheson 2P_TC1728-RGB_Eye-One_iSis target, Epson 3800, Measuretool
5.08.
Measured on a eye-one iSis XL
Printed the target from:
MacBook Pro 10.6.1, CS4, Epson driver 6.11
MacPro 10.5.8, CS2, CS3, CS4, ED 6.11
Windows XP SP2, CS2 Epson Driver 6.5
All Mac prints made with 16 bit checked, this is not available in the
Windows driver.
Using the compare tool is Measuretool
XP and Mac 10.6.1 - Delta E 2000 Average, Total.33, best 90% .27, worst 10%
.82
Mac 10.5.8 CS2 Mac 10.6.1 CS4 - T=.35, B=.30, W=.80
10.5.8 CS4 10.6.1 CS4 - T=.30 B=.25 W=.75
And same target measured back to back
T= .08 B=.07 W=.20
I will let someone else interpret the data.
