This is one of the several reasons why my "upgrade" to Snow Leopard
lasted less than a week. I guess I can't complain for $29.
Sadly, it seems as if Apple has lost interest in ColorSync and ICC
color management in general. This is a great pity, since the ICC was
originally initiated by Apple and first enabled by colorSync - a fact
for which I am continually grateful, in spite of Apple having since
dropped the ball.
