Well. I think it's really an Adobe/Epson/Apple problem. But it's not just Epson printers that are having color problems with OS X and Adobe. And the OS introduced the printing path bug so besides the driver deprecation issue, I think Apple does bare some responsibility. Of course, I'm pissed that Epson made the poor decision not to update their 9600 driver installers. But that is a sep. issue for me.

I see Epson being the one that is hurt the most by not updating drivers for there older printers. Knowing how HP and Canon have handle this I would never consider an Epson until they wake up and consider supporting older printers in new operating systems.

But it's really bad for business with many companies and labs who run drivers and systems that are dependent on up-to-date software (ie: snow leopard or CS4 ACR, etc). It's a huge issue. The questions become: What should I upgrade first? CS3 or 10.5? If I need new ACR will I have to downgrade the OS and loose software that works best in Snow? If I go to snow and have to upgrade CS3 how does this square w/ my lack of a budget?

But there's probably more CS3/Snow Leopard users out there than CS4/Snow Leopard. A lot of people leapfrog Adobe versions. Because the OS introduced the color change, I think it's the OS that should be fixed. No?
