But jpegs are available for rough preview, so we know when
to go tweaking raw and when to just use that jpeg. Turns
out, on many occasions that jpeg goes to client with minor
correction in some image editing plugin, also in auto mode
- PictoColor EditLab, for example. Raw converters that
provide acceptable rendition in full auto mode and/or some
user default tweaks are the most popular. Auto modes work
for 80 to 90 cases out of 100. Pros know when to switch
auto off and when shoot in auto.
