There's a good case for having additional hard drives with old and new
systems to start up from. That way one can experiment with the latest
while still being able to work from the old system. Hard drives are
pretty cheap these days.

That¹s very odd as prior to the Snow Leopard update, I don¹t know that anyone
else had this issue with untagged files. But the 3880 is a newer unit so it
could be some combo with CS4 and that driver.
