I reproduce other artists intellectual property, and must have density
and color balance as close to original as I possibly can. CCP is
failing me.
Well, I've got a problem. Using CCP, I have considered the results to
be gospel.
Not so.
I thought CCP was used to actually profile my EOS 1Ds Mk II sensor,
along with giving a white balance with the large white patch.
Along with profiling the camera sensor, I was under the impression the
profile included the particular lighting setup.
Here is what happens. This is all after going through the steps of
converting to DNG and reading the patches on the CCP. And,
restarting PS CS 3. I use RAW exclusively.
Images in RAW are off color when the camera profile is applied.
When opened in PS, still off color. I have to use PS since I have
printer/ink/substrate profiles for soft proofing.
Finally, to get results I had been getting prior to purchase of CCP, I
do my white balance using a device on cloth designed for white
balance, and do not use CCP. Yes, CCP is in the image frame, but
when I create a custom camera profile, and us it, image goes red.
Warm. Worthless image.
I assume I am very color managed. Monitors profiled every other day.
Printer/ink/substrate profiled three days ago. And, as I said I
thought I was profiling the camera's sensor.
I need help. Not just some link to an answer that will not help me.
I don't know how to create the custom camera sensor profile using
Adobe's DNG profile editor.
Furthermore, I don't edit image capture.
I reproduce other artists intellectual property, and must have density
and color balance as close to original as I possibly can. CCP is
failing me.
