Richard :
I would like to state that I have not seen this odd behaviour in the PA241w
that I have on my desk these days :(
I would like also to remind the readers of the list that there was a series
of posts, a year or so ago, by users of the highly respected HP Dreamcolor
LX2480 (going from memory?) that reported objectionable red color shift
towards the RHS of the monitor, a behavior I remember witnessing on the eval
unit I had the chance to work on. This may not be the case with currently
shipping Dreamcolor units anymore? I confess I have not heard about it.
Still, your report is quite saddening to hear, Richard. It will remain to be
seen what other reviewers of the PA271 are seeing on their units. Could it
be that the ColorComp circuit. Somehow, isn't doing its work properly? Or
that, for some reason, that it's not compensating the monitor uniformity as
it's supposed to be doing? Or that it is not activated?
Could you describe how big of a color shift you are seeing?
Best / Roger

Just received one of the above SpectraView monitors and run it for three
hours before calibrating and profiling.
Verdict nice screen with larger gamut than the 3090. Sadly there is a large
area from just above half way up the screen in the centre and towards the
RHS that has a very distinct redness to it. Hardly suitable for critical
colour work!
Cheers
Richard
