A few things:
- if you are actually using an Eye-One Pro (not an Eye-One Display) then colorimeter aging won't be a problem. The i1 Pro is a spectrophotometer and doesn't use filters that can get messed up.
- if you are not sure about the source of the green cast then try a known-good image to rule out something that's baked into your images. Try images from here: <http://www.colorwiki.com/wiki/Test_Images>
- when reading emissive devices (screens) Eye-One Pros only do a black-level calibration so there could be a sensor problem in the Eye-One Pro. Have you built any printer profiles or taken any other reflective readings to ensure that it works OK in that mode?
- If it is an EIZO display then you really should use their Color Navigator software or other software that supports the internal calibration features of the display. If you have installed the Eye-One software or some 3rd party software then you might have multiple utilities trying to load calibration LUT information into your graphics card on reboot. These types of "LUT wars" were common back in Mac OS 8 when Apple taught the OS to load calibration LUTs from display profiles. Unfortunately, in this particular instance, Windows is not yet up to Mac OS 8.x. (Mac OS 10 has other color issues though so all is not greener on it's side of the fence.... Sorry, should have used a different expression)
- finally, what do you mean by green? I mean, how to you see it and where? I find it important to question all assumptions in cases like these.
Regards,
Steve
