Here should be your path to the ColorSync cache. /private/var/folders/Yh/YhpRFA8JGjisHjU3OUqQ0U+++TI/-Caches-/com.apple.colorsync.profiles.501
What is in the preference folder is the ColorSync preferences, and deleting those may help if they have become corrupted. It still would be a lot easier to us a utility to delete caches.
