Hi List members.
I had a trawl of the colorsync mailing list archives but could not
find what I wanted.
I have a question regarding Microsoft Word 2008 (Mac)
Task
I have been asked to write a manual for our photography students
printing from MS Word in a color managed lab. They are printing to our
color managed laser [ OKI 9800 Laser running fiery RIP]
Before I do that I want to improve the color matching between their
prepped files and the print output. I am not worried about appearance
on-screen inside MS Word.
Behavior of MS Word
My preliminary tests with RGB images and MS Word is that it appears
that MS Word is using the profile embedded in the image to convert
colors when I import them. So far so good
Questions
Any one know what color space MS word converts imported image files
into??
or what the assumed input profiles to our printer RIP should be for MS
Word MS Word jobs?
Your Help Appreciated.
Peter Miles
