Hi all, I need some help getting a Target Reference file out of
Spectral Vision Pro or ColorPort. We are using the Xrite 2989 patches
target. The problem is doing comparisons in MeasureTool or CololLab.
Both Spectral Vision Pro and ColorPort have this 2989 patch target,
but neither seems to have a way to export the reference file. All I
can export is an XML file that I can't seem to use for my needs at all.
Without the reference file I can not use the compare feature in
MeasureTool or ColorLab.
So far what I have done is open a saved measurement text file (CGATS)
in Excel. I then deleted all the Lab values and the Spectral values as
they seemed to be my measured values. I kept only the CMYK values as
they seemed to be the reference values. (I compared fresh measurements
to another set done 24 hours later.)
Then in ColorLab I switched the mode from CMYK to Lab so I could
compare my measured values to these new extracted reference numbers.
Is this a valid approach, can I trust the numbers as the reference?
Would the Delta E 2000 values provide meaningful info or would they be
suspect?
Thank you,
David Wollmann
