And I have done enough reflecting already to know what I'm talking about.
Your advice is certainly well-intentioned, but misplaced.

I wish OTHERS listened to MY point of view as carefully as you advise me to listen to theirs (which, believe it or not -- probably not -- I already do). There would be no need for any of this animosity, bickering and resentment.
I should never forget that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. In this forum, it's a maxim to live by.
