True, Terry. You are correct about that. That nit begged to be picked. :-)

I have honestly been unable to understand what technical considerations made
GretagMacbeth (pre-XRite) decide not to offer a choice of interchangeable
filters in the EyeOne Pro when they first introduced it. The apparent
structure of the EyeOne Pro's head is so similar to that of the Spectrolino
that one can't help wondering why in the world it does not offer that same
interchangeability.
By GM deciding to do things this way, what would be a matter of an extra
$150 or so for the extra filter, instead becomes a matter of buying a WHOLE
other EyeOne Pro. Incidentally, such proliferation of devices obviously adds
extra issues of inter-instrument agreement to the mix, which would be
eliminated if one used the same device for both UV-included and -excluded
readings (leaving in play just the unavoidable issues of intra-instrument
agreement, or consistency).
