Question - Are the NEC PA displays as revolutionary as they sound?
Roger fairly gushes about them... "Imagine complete color management
freedom from instruments, calibration and profiling parameters? <snip>
Sounds too good to be true? Head over to NEC and hunt for the PA
series...", and Chris adds, "A measuring instrument is not necessary
with this display. Just use Multiprofiler. The displays are custom
measured at factory."
Why, if they don't need a measuring instrument do they sell them with
SpectraViewII Color Calibration gear? It sounds, in a way, like a throw-
back to the days of Barco and the factory-measured tube. Can a display
really age with such linearity that the factory measure would hold true
over the life-span of the display? Maybe I'm missing something here.
These things are big and cheap*, and state of the art too? Should I
even be considering an Eizo 243W, at this point?
*compared to Eizo's, and even other NEC displays.
