Does anyone know of any issues with using an Eizo CG210 monitor on a
MacBook
Pro? Is there any reason we would not get the same color/image
quality when
using this monitor on the laptop?
Speaking as a photographer rather than colour management professional,
I have successfully used a CG210 on a MacBook Pro for three or four
years, profiling with Color Navigator and an EyeOne Display 2. The
only issues I have had is that the measured black point is around
0.4cd/m2 which Eizo say is within tolerance and at times I find it
easier to see the difference between pure black and very dark greys on
the inferior and unsatisactorily profiled MacBook Pro screen when
checking black backgrounds for consistency.
The MacBook Pro is a three year old model with NVidia GeForce 8600M GT
graphics card and I still run Mac OS X 10.5.8
