Todd,
the EIZOs you mentioned have IPS panels, likewise the NECs (2690,
3090, PA241W, PA271W and the future PA301W). The EIZO 301 has a PVA
panel with the known viewing angle problems.
I have the NEC 3090 on my desk, as well as the PA301W. Both show near
perfect viewing angle stability.

So 3 people like the NEC 3090s, one person not so much. Can anyone
comment specifically on the off-angle viewing? Our biggest problem
with the EIzo CG301Ws was that as soon as you viewed from about 10°
off straight-on the color started to shift and if you were 30° off
forget about it. A big part of the reason we want big screens is to
facilitate multiple people being able to evaluate an image at once,
and this simply did not work unless you were directly behind the
operator.
So what about it with the NEC 3090s? Can someone look over your
shoulder and see the same thing you are seeing? It works great with
the EIzo CG211s & CG243s.
