Dear Rick,
I have not been able to get basICColor Display 4 to communicate with

Sounds like some troubleshooting might be necessary. There are some OS
& App combo interactions that seem to play nicer than others. I'm not
sure of the combos. You might speak with our tech support next week,
when Pat Herold is back from vacation.
I gathered that the European version does but can't be sold in the
US :(
Correct.

Hey Ken:
NEC has 2 software options that will work: SpectraView and
Multiprofiler.
SpectraView will use actual measurements from your calibrator,
MultiProfiler
will use factory data. MultiProfiler is free. And as Andrew mentioned
SpectraView is $89 from NEC's website.
You might also look at basICColor Display v4, which will also
communicate
with the internal graphics, and is the core product for SpectraView
versions
used in Europe.
