I submitted a bug report to Apple regarding this bug.

7.) There is a rendering bug in ColorSync Utility 4.6.2 (Mac OS 10.6.6):
the 3D view shows wrong colors and transparency and does not resize
correctly.

John Gnaegy told me that Apple is aware of this issue. It will be fixed in Lion at the latest.
