Hello David,
Quato's (www.quato.de) iColor Display calibration software can be used with the DTP-94 too. In that software, after a characterization has been made, you can select to create profiles optimized for primaries – but nothing more.
I believe the gamut compression features are gone, as there were tremendous developments in the display gamut area in the recent years. Pro grade screens today offer more than 100% NTSC gamut, and the above mentioned company sells a display with true RGB LED backlight technology, achieving 109% NTSC gamut. This is still way smaller than the ProPhoto RGB gamut you aim for, but much better than the average 72% NTSC of normal gamut screens.
Kind regards,
Peter Nagy
