I wouldn't regard either of those as limitations of Spectro's, since they are both properties of the driver rather than the device itself.

Instead I would regard the the biggest drawback as the lack of
some means of temperature stabilization of the sensor dark noise
and sensitivity. This only becomes evident when large numbers of
readings are taken in a single session though.
