So should InDesign starts to honour the EXIF ICC profile tag too?
Is that what Tom Lianza alluded to for the ICC future developments?

As long as an ICC profile is embedded, everything is ok.
The problem only occurs when the image contains only Exif color space
information but no ICC profile. Photoshop honors this information by default
and treats the image as if an ICC profile were embedded, but InDesign
ignores the Exif data and treats the image as untagged.
