Hello Mark,
I used the logosync engine for a couple of years and eventually abandoned it because it was inverting gray. Before moving to LittleCMS I made a lot of visual comparisons for all types of conversions, including rgb to cmyk, and
nothing jumped out at me as being different, except for of course the gray issue. My tests were from adobeRGB and sRGB going into Gracol and Fogra29 using both perceptual and relative colormetric with bpc. My analysis was performed by stacking results in Photoshop layers to evaluate visual changes and LAB deltas.
I've also used whatever cmm is in Apogee with no complaints but I only compared numeric results to a dozen patches to the LittleCMS results - again no surprises.

Hello all,
I have a quick question about the conversion engine when converting RGB
images to CMYK.
What are the significant differences between the major engines, and is
there a noticeable difference in a side-by-side comparison of a file
converted using different engines?
Many thanks for your help.
