If the problem also occurs with v4 matrix profiles, it would seem to be a different issue than the one described as "an issue with the LUT definition and scaling," no? Do you see the same problem with all v4 profiles - matrix and LUT, and with profiles from more than one vendor? And to be clear, you didn't see this problem with 10.6.6? Have you seen it in apps other than Apple's Preview (or your own software)?
