I have recently come up against a problem and wondered if the group has seen it before.
I have a photographer colleague who in the main uses Capture One (latest version) as his raw processing software, Canon CR2 files.
He runs with a macbook pro for field work and links to an Eizo S2242W in the studio.
Both his laptop and the Eizo are calibrated using Eye One Match 3.6.3
He was finding differences between the preview in C1 and the resulting image in PhotoShop, CS4 OSX10.5.7, on the Eizo.
On opening a raw file in ACR and saving into Photoshop, with a null transform, there were differences between the raw preview and the resulting image.
Panning across the two displays proved that the anomaly was only on the Eizo, not on the laptop.
Assigning the Eizo profile to the laptop solved the problem (but screwed the colour on the laptop)
Turning off OpenGL in Photoshop preferences completely solved the problem so that now the same file viewed in C1, ACR and Photoshop all match on either display, except now the image has to be completely within either monitor for colour to display correctly.
I have never seen this before and this solution whilst not completely ideal is workable.
I do not have access to CS5, so do we know if this is just a CS4 problem?
regards to all
Eric Nunn
