My experience with my MacBook Pro 17 inch, matte screen, is, it cannot be profiled as accurately or as critically, as your high end Eizo. Wishful thinking. (I don't have the Eizo) I am not addressing all your issues, I know. Keep things simple.
You write you are using dual displays. Then keep your Eizo, or whatever your very very best display, is, as the 'gold standard'. In i1 Match 3.6.3, set the second display, your MBP to follow the calibrations, or profiles, of your 'gold standard'.
Don't expect the MBP display to have the grays and some color to look the same as your 'gold standard'. Not going to happen.
You might even try ColorEyes Display Pro. Still, the MBP display will not match your 'gold standard'.
Others on the list will have good ideas as well. Better than mine.
Cheers
