David, thanks for your response.
I don't think I made myself clear.
This is not problem regarding matching displays.
The macbookpro is not used for colour at all, but is carrying all the apps etc. as a side monitor.
Neither is the quality of the monitor profile in question (I accept that there may be other profiling solutions) it is scoring .59dE2000 in the monitor verification process.
The issue is that if you take a raw file into C1, the same raw file into ACR and save an untouched copy into Photoshop, when using the set up at default with the OS assigning profiles to each monitor as normal, on the Eizo there is marked variation in colour appearance.
Particularly puzzling is that the preview in ACR and the saved file in Photoshop are completely different, the ACR preview looks correct, the Photoshop file is obviously wrong.
So it is like ACR is using the correct monitor profile and Photoshop is not.
Turning of OpenGL seems to correct the issue, where C1, ACR and Photoshop all display the same colour appearance.
So is this a problem:
A) using a dual set up where one monitor is wide gamut.
B) a quirk related to CS4 and OSX 10.5.7
C) a bug in OpenGL
D) none of the above!
regards
