"Noticeably better" is a big word! I would say if you're a PM5 user, yes, you'll see some benefits....but if you're a Monaco user you're not going to see a huge difference. I can *measure* the difference but I'm not sure if I can *see* the difference. :-)

Doesn't *require* iterative profiling targets, in fact you can ignore iterative profiling altogether if you like since it only becomes available once you've built your first profile.
You can use virtually any target you wish for the initial profile....and the iterative patch set you use is highly customizable if you go that route.
Personally, I prefer to call it profile *optimization* as it's not iterative profiling in the "classic" sense of something like ORIS Color Tuner or GMG Colorproof, both of which use a true iterative approach (measure, rinse, repeat...as many times as you like).

So far the stability has been remarkable.....I don't think I've had it crash at all.
On the UI front, the "problems" if you want to call them that boil down to little things like UI "stickiness" of certain pop-up menus and such...nothing major, just annoying. The UI workflow in general....well, you'll either love it or hate it. I started out hating it but then my hate was reduced to mere annoyance and now I'm starting to like it.....but I'm not sure if I'll ever make it to love. :-)

Well, one strong case for upgrading is that's likely to be more stable going forward with the new 64bit OS's....I've had a lot of "bouts" with instability with both PM5 and Monaco since upgrading to Snow Leopard....i1Profiler seems very solid in that regard.
