Yes, thats what I selected, CMYK->LAB. I'll test it again. I also don't see any preview changes to my opened sample test image. The app goes the the motions of updating the screen but when I made radical changes -like removing 50 percent of the yellow- the preview image remained unchanged after the redraw on the monitor.

You lost me when you added that you are "applying the edit in manual mode to all rendering intents"? Can you explain further?
