Thanks for your input Terrie but nothing is helping right now.
Epson, Apple and Adobe have created a pathetic mess that make professional imaging impossible.
I gave up printing using PowerPC, 10.5 and CS4 this afternoon because we could not get the image to print on 44" roll paper. Smaller papers were fine, but 44" didn't work.
I installed the latest Epson drivers on an Intel Mac using 10.6 and Photoshop CS5 this evening but we still cannot print this job…
Again, we can print to 24" paper without a problem*, but as soon as we move to 44" the printing fails -- this time because the 9900 prints an A4 crop of the image on an expensive 44" x 60" sheet of Photo Rag.
The print preview in Photoshop looks perfect every time, but the printer only prints a tiny portion of the image.
* When I say "without a problem" I'm lying. The colours on the Photoshop CS5 and 10.6 print are different to those printed using CS4 and 10.5. The image is noticeably darker and slightly less yellow. I built this profile myself last week using the same printer and the targets and datas from the built in SpectroProofer. There is no reason why the results from different drivers and versions of Photoshop should look different…
