Hey Tom. FYI, you can skip steps 1 and 3 on your list and just immediately start taking spot measurements with any target selected. If you click the "I" info button in the measurements are it will show you a full set of values and a great, interactive, spectral graph. Check it out! ColorPort's capabilities are lesser known but are surprising for it's price (free).
