Hi Martin,
depending on your customer's needs and their workflow, the easiest option would be to buy some additional modules for the existing Kodak system. As far as I know, Prinergy will do all kinds of color normalizing and conversions using its ICC or device link modules. The advantage of this solution is a very tight integration, though it comes at a price.
Other packages: GMG Colorserver (the de facto tool to solve all color-related problems), Colorlogic's Zepra (very sophisticated since v2), or Alwan's CMYK Optimizer. An interesting options is Callas pdfToolbox, which is a preflight tool in the first place, but does device link color conversions, too.
You might get some hot deals right now on all the items mentioned above, because of the ongoing Drupa. Hurry up!
