I don't see that here -- the Finder is NOT generating accurate icon colours.
The 10.8 Finder looks as if it is converting images to GenericRGB and then ASSIGNING the monitor profile to them!
The icon previews are darker and more saturated than both the original images and the preview that you get when launching Get Info.
If I open the original images in Photoshop, convert to Generic RGB and then assign my monitor profile I then (and only then) get images that match their Finder icons.
The 10.6 Macs we have here don't have this discrepancy between the Finder icons and the real images -- only the 10.8 Macs.
And, the larger the display gamut, the more obvious the problem :-(
