Let me be frank,
"Who exactly are you representing here Thomas?"
I am representing myself.
Yes, I do work for Xrite, and yes I am the Co-chair of the ICC, but when I
comment on this list, unless I say otherwise, I represent myself.
Many technical developers from major companies have simply stopped reading
this list because of conversations just like this. I read the list
everyday to look at issues relating to the ICC or X-rite (and there are
plenty of both). If I think someone is mistaken, I comment on it, if I
think they have a valid argument or problem, I carry it into each of the
organizations for internal comment.
"I've always maintained that more end users need to post here to correct
the rose-tinted and biased views of the suppliers that predominate."
It is one thing to post technical issues on this list, but grousing about
the business model of Adobe, or Apple, or Microsoft, on this forum won't
accomplish anything other than spend the bandwidth of people who look to
this list for technical information.Adobe has user forums which they
sponsor and they may actually have an employee who follows the forum.
Regards,
Tom Lianza
