The iO in multimode could be a workable approach. That's a thought.
As for Minolta, the only thing I'm aware of is their FD-7, but it's only the usual 3.4mm.
There's the 939, which can open up all the way to 16mm. But that's going to be tedious for reading in scads of IT8.7/4s.
I found some old Spectrolino 8mm from a guy in Germany but it's a small fortune.
Better stick with the Barbieri.
Incidentally, I am quite pleased with the inter-instrument agreement between the Spectro LFP and the Spectroscan.
At least on the substrates/ink combinations I tested so far.
And it's fast. And versatile.
It's just the price that's holding me :(
