There's no need to (wrongly) speculate on such things - go and read my FWA paper in the
11th Color Imaging Conference, November 2003 if you want to understand how it
can be done.
Using an UV illuminant is also just an estimate - you don't get a faithful
reproduction of a D50 spectrum by adding a UV LED to an incandescent illuminant!
And no, M1 isn't about "stability". In fact it's likely to be less stable and robust,
because you are deliberately triggering fluorescent behavior. UV cut and/or FWA/OBE free
paper is far more stable, it's just not as "real world" if you are assuming a daylight
like illuminant.
