Thats really interesting. If I understand correctly from your sample images, there seems to be much less clipping on the V700 at 4800 SPI than at lower SPI's. Thats really surprising! Your test images made me realize that I had assumed the clipping would be the same regardless of scanner SPI and it hadn't occurred to me to check at other SPI's for my 10000XL.
I'm going to re-test the clipping on my sample paper now.
