Hi Roger.
Thanks for that...
So let me get this straight.
The actual color photoshop Honors when I ask for an absolute colorimetericlly rendered print from the AdobeRGB 1998 space is not the actual pixel color encoded in the Adobe RGB 1998 colorspace. But rather the pixel color AFTER AdobeRGB is "scaled from D65 to D50"?
And since I can't pretend to know what exactly "scale to D50" means, I'm picturing in my head the AdobeRGB color space as displayed in 3D in ColorThink2 being rotated on it's black point so that AdobeRGB's gray axis lines up on the L axis shown in the ColorThink2 display. (?)
And AdobeRGB's white point ends up in the same place ProPhotoRGB's white point is normally displayed. (?)
And all the AdobeRGB1998 pixels colors encoded within the AdobeRGB space are going along for the ride. (?)
Is that's what going on?
Regards
Peter Miles

That was one hell of an eye opener. But, we all know the vast pool of uninformed Photoshop's users have so much power on Adobe that, in order to keep peace, Photoshop's team threw the towel and came up with the present behavior. I personally regret this change.
