One would have thought so. I don't know. It's just amazing to me how universal that old profile seems to be.
Not to drag this out, but I'm curious that there seems to be little or no interest in changing this default for CMYK, either inside Adobe or not. Seems to me that it creates a lot more havoc in real-world color repro than Adobe RGB.
Kind of like the CMYK files I receive which are almost always tagged "SWOP", regardless of whatever output is intended. This would be more understandable if from low-end or unsophisticated clients, but no, this is coming from large corporations in the printing industry, their print vendors, etc.
