Like in PS CS5, I have the exact size image file I want, then I can go to image > canvas size > and choose a plain white border, around the image. I can choose the width and color.
This is, in my words, unadulterated.
In Affinity Photo, I can get a border, using the rectangular tool, as Affinity Photo describes, however I still don’t know the image file dimension, nor how to make the white and keep it.
