I seem to be okay sending my pre-profiled tiffs through Onyx to the printer.
I have all color management turned off on the rip.

So long as we're on the topic of Affinity, I found their implementation of
color management rather lacking. Maybe I didn't look in all the right
places, but I didn't see where they paid much attention to that module so
I don't trust it yet for cmyk conversions and maybe even rgb.
I don't trust anything other than Argyll for color transforms...which is why
all I want is a reliable way to print with no color management.
For that matter, I don't even need to do the printing from within Affinity.
Anything that'll print a TIFF without doing any color transforms or other
interpolations or modifications at the specified resolution will do. But it
has to be able to do big files...600 ppi or more up to 44" wide and maybe in
some very rare instances two or three times as long (though the really big
prints won't be 600 ppi).
The Canon plugin for Canon's Digital Picture Professional maxes out at
10,000 pixels in the biggest dimension. That's bloody useless for even a 24"
printer, let alone a 44" one.
