I don't know why this shouldn't work ... it's just a global variable
exported from the framework.
The CoreFoundation framework has some similar exports.
Then again, I've never tried build anything with CFM on X so there may
be something I'm missing.

Hi,
I'm trying to use CoreMidi from a CFM app. Some of your constants are
external, eg. kMIDIPropertyName is external CFStringRef. How can I
access
those external data?
Following code doesn't work and crashes in MIDIObjectGetStringProperty:
kMIDIPropertyName = (CFStringRef)
CFBundleGetDataPointerForName(m_coreMidiBundle,
CFSTR("kMIDIPropertyName"));
MIDIObjectGetStringProperty(dev, kMIDIPropertyName, &pname);
CFBundleGetDataPointerForName seems to return a valid pointer.
Best,
Sven
