Question about kAudioDevicePropertyPlayThru availability for input devices

Hello,

I've been trying unsuccessfully to query or set the
'kAudioDevicePropertyPlayThru' and 'kAudioDevicePropertyMute' properties on the
default input device. I keep getting a return error of
'kAudioHardwareUnknownPropertyError'. It's likely that I'm just doing something
wrong, but I've noticed that other audio applications (SoundStudio and Amadeus)
have a passthrough check box that is grayed out and wondered whether these
properties were just not implemented yet.

I'm currently running with OS X version 10.0.4. Have these properties been
implemented yet? If not, will they be available soon?
