Interesting, if they are going to allow kernel hacks, I'm sure we can
come up with a few for Darwin that would get core audio always
beating linux. :-)
And the latency numbers they come up with for Mac OS 9 seems crazy. I
wrote an ASIO driver for built in hardware that allows it to run at
32 samples per buffer, which when used on a G4 class machine doesn't
even break a sweat under load so I know Mac OS 9 can easily beat some
of the reported numbers with real hardware.
Also, why didn't they use the RME card under Mac OS 9?
Anyway, nice to see Core Audio kick but from the get go. It's only
going to get better from here.
