I have had very good luck with both a MOTU USB Fastlane

anything about OS X on their website, so I am unsure whether purchasing
another one of their interfaces is a good choice.
I've had no luck getting anything out of MOTU. I even offered to write
drivers
if they would get me specs of their nonstandard USB/MIDI implementation.
They've given no date on releasing OS X drivers.

I'm to the point of dumping both my MOTU and Digidesign hardware. As a
user
I could wait, but as a developer, it is seriously limiting. I'd rather
support a company
that is looking toward the future. In the future I'll only purchase
hardware for
which open source linux drivers exist. This is the only way I can be sure
the hardware won't be obsolete in a year.

Or, to put the question simply: which multi-port USB interfaces that I
can
buy today, or within the next few months, work well with both OMS under
OS 9
and OS X?
As far as I know, the only vendor currently supporting MIDI or Audio
devices on
OS X is Midiman.
Emagic is supposed to be releasing OS X support for their hardware, as
well as
an OS X version of Logic in either September :-)
