This may not be the correct group to ask this question, but:

I have a fastlane USB midi connector on my Mac. I have never used it for
anything, because I couldn't figure out how to access the information
through software. All I really want to do is receive the instrument and time
information, just a list of notes as they are played. What is the easiest
way to do this? I am running OS9, and I want to be using my own software,
so I am looking for a programming solution, not third-party software.

Many thanks for any suggestions!
Bob
