Hi,
I'm trying to use the recently released MidiMan Delta 10x10 drivers for
MacOSX and have some questions:
- the MidiMan Delta 10x10 drivers come with a configuration utility "M
audio delat control panel" that allow to change the DMA buffer size.
- when setting this dma size from 512 and up, the Apple audio application
like Quicktime or the Java "SMFPlayer" work correctly.
- when setting dma to 256 of smaller sizes, the previous applications do
not work anymore (no sound out)
- using the "Daisy" program i saw that the MidiMan Delta 10x10 drivers
return a frame range from 14 frame to the size of the choosen dma buffer
size
(for example 14 - 512)
It is a driver problem or an application problem? Are applications supposed
to adapt to the frame size range declared by the driver? Or does the driver
need to declare a large frame size range? (like the "built in audio
controler" that return 14 - 8192)
Thanks in advance
