AppleUSBAudio driver will not unload

  • Subject: AppleUSBAudio driver will not unload

When trying to unload the AppleUSBAudio driver, the following message is
written to the system log: "AppleUSBAudioEngine has 1 instance(s)". The
count increases over time. Is this a known problem? Has it been
resolved? Since this prevents me from unloading the driver, I must reboot
the system to test changes. If the problem hasn't been resolved, is there
a method of forcefully unloading the driver? I am currently unloading the
driver with the command "kextunload -m com.apple.driver.AppleUSBAudio".

Thanks,

Sean
